Job Description: 

JOB SUMMARY: The Service Engineer is responsible for delivering high-quality technical support and maintenance services for precision instruments. This position ensures optimal performance of all in-house and customer-deployed equipment through expert repair, calibration, and troubleshooting. The role involves managing installations, maintaining accurate service records, and providing timely solutions to technical issues. Additionally, the Service Engineer supports distributors with warranty services and knowledge sharing, contributing to customer satisfaction and operational excellence.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Instrument Repair & Maintenance

  • Perform in-house repairs and maintenance of instruments.
  • Ensure all COE instruments are in optimal working condition.
  • Offer warranty support to distributor instruments and arrange RMA.
  • Share technical knowledge with distributors and engineers.

 

Installation & Troubleshooting

  • Travel to customer sites for installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of instruments.
  • Provide technical support and resolve issues efficiently.

 

Inventory & Record Management

  • Maintain accurate records of instrument movement (inward/outward).
  • Track and manage inventory of instruments and spare parts.
  • Maintain calibration records of all in-house testing tools.

 

Documentation & Reporting

 

  • Prepare service reports and update maintenance logs.
  • Ensure compliance with internal quality and safety standards.

 

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) or equivalent technical qualification.
  • 2–4 years of experience in instrument servicing, maintenance, or technical support.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with calibration standards and quality compliance.
  • Ability to travel as required for installations and service calls.
