Rauland, an AMETEK company, is seeking a Senior Accountant to play a key role in supporting financial reporting, forecasting, operational analysis, and continuous process improvement. This position offers the opportunity to partner with leaders across Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, and other functions to drive business performance, improve processes, and contribute to strategic decision-making.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records in accordance with U.S. GAAP and company policies.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, profitability reports, and other key business metrics.
  • Support forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning activities.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to analyze costs, inventory, profitability, and operational performance.
  • Support internal and external audits through preparation of schedules, documentation, and financial analysis.
  • Evaluate accounting processes and recommend improvements that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and internal controls.
  • Assist with ERP system enhancements, testing, and finance-related process improvement initiatives.
  • Support inventory accounting, cost accounting, physical inventory activities, and manufacturing financial analysis.
  • Prepare executive summaries, ad hoc analysis, and special projects for Finance leadership.

 

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience; manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of general accounting principles, financial analysis, inventory accounting, and cost accounting.
  • Experience supporting audits and maintaining internal controls.
  • Working knowledge of SOX compliance and internal control frameworks.
  • Experience working with integrated ERP systems.
  • Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyze large data sets.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA certification or active CPA candidate.
  • Experience with Oracle Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), AS400, revenue recognition, fixed assets, sales tax, and manufacturing accounting.
  • Experience supporting inventory management and standard cost accounting processes.

AI Qualification 

  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity, decision-making, work quality, and to reduce costs. The successful candidate must be able to identify appropriate AI use cases and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs.
