Position Summary

The Manager, Global Planning is responsible for the coordination of Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) function across all Atlas product lines and aftermarket. Including creation, adjustment and maintenance of the Atlas material plan and forecast for all global Instrument and Aftermarket production. In addition, this role will effectively drive LEAN manufacturing material strategies, including production "pull" systems (Min/Max and KANBAN for production) and finding creative solutions to ERP system limitations focused around Q,D,I,C processes. We are looking for an experienced professional who brings energy and a problem solving (RCCM) mindset to the role as we move forward!
 

Key Reponsibilities:

  • Maintain data integrity of ERP planning parameters such as lead time, available to promise, safety stocks for efficient order/shipment management, and COO
  • Coordinate the Sales Forecasting effort for the demand side input of the Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning process (Instruments and Aftermarket)
  • Facilitate the S&OP planning process through the gathering and presentation of appropriate demand/ supply data
  • Develops monthly KPIs to support S&OP review meetings(QDIC)
  • Incorporates backlog into S&OP supply planning process to ensure capacity and resources are available to meet demand requirements
  • Analyze data and report on key inventory metrics such as On Time performance, Inventory, Part Quality, and SKU velocity
  • Identify areas to improve inventory accuracy and control
  • Incorporate the S&OP (Shipment) plan into the MRP system via Master Production Scheduling of "Planning Bills of Material" or Min/Max planning
  • Create, adjust and maintain Master Production Schedules (MPS) to meet shipping dates according to S&OP plan and/or customer orders
  • Level load the MPS to best smooth demand
  • Finalize and release (firm planned) Production orders to the Operations Group
  • Reschedule (firm planned) Production orders as needed
  • Review and maintain proper planning percentages of Planning BOM options
  • Communicate Order Confirmation Lead-times to Order Entry/Sales
  • Prepare any/all (sales/forecast/supply plan) reports as required by Management and help create improved standard reporting
  • Review engineering changes for impacts relating to Demand Planning

Requirements for Consideration

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or operations management or equivalent\
  • Five or more years of related experience and/or training
  • Demonstrated success in collaboration and teamwork across multiple functional teams.
  • Understanding of basic LEAN principles and how they can be implemented with traditional ERP systems functionality such as material forecasting, planning, and "backflush" processing
  • Strong drive for continuous process and productivity improvement
  • Experience with ERP systems, MRP functionality, maintenance and extraction
  • Proficient in MS Office applications and strong understanding of MRP systems and their operation.
  • Advanced MS Excel proficiency required, Experience in Qlik software a plus
  • Sourcing/purchasing/Quality certification such as (CPM, CPIM, CIRM, CQE, CSCP) preferred

Employee Type:  Salaried
Salary Minimum:  $100,000
Salary Maximum:  $130,000
