We are currently seeking an Engineering Intern for our Mt. Prospect, IL office.  The Industrial Engineering Summer Intern will work directly with Operations Manager to gain real-world experience working on actual engineering projects within the RMA Center of the Telular business unit. The RMA (Return Material Authorization) Center tests and repairs GPS asset tracking and tank level monitors returned from customers for the purposes of diagnosing, refurbishing, and/or salvaging components of returned units

 

 What you will do:

•              Assist with implementation of new RMA production lines

•              Working on existing RMA lines to improve layout, cycle time, and workflow

•              Value Stream Mapping of proposed and existing lines

•              Create Work Instructions

•              Involved in implementation of solutions and standard work

 

What we are looking for:

•              Must be enrolled in a relevant Engineering degree program at an accredited university; Industrial and Mechanical Engineering majors would typically be a good fit, but similar majors are considered

•              Sophomore or higher-level standing

•              3.0 GPA or higher

•              Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and e-mail to effectively communicate with others is highly beneficial

•              Ability to work independently and as a part of a team to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions

•              Ability to read assembly prints for assembly/disassembly of motors given training and supervision
