Job Summary: Hands-on production support role responsible for physically staging materials and tools, preparing work orders, and ensuring timely movement of parts across departments. This role operates on the production floor and directly contributes to manufacturing throughput by enabling efficient job setups and material flow.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Physically combine materials and stamping dies listed on production orders for the Stamping Department.
  • Track and communicate real-time production activities to the Operations Manager and production team.
  • Locate and deliver missing materials and dies to ensure uninterrupted production flow.
  • Stage and deliver materials to the Rolling, Stamping, and Packaging departments for upcoming jobs.
  • Perform inventory movements and update ERP records to reflect actual production activity.
  • Ensure accurate counts and weights of product moving in and out of inventory.
  • Allocate and release materials to work orders using FIFO (First In – First Out) methodology.
  • Conduct monthly cycle counts and annual physical inventory counts.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through direct handling and verification.
  • Support production by responding to requests promptly, maintaining flexibility, and proposing process improvements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

 

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities Required:

  • 3–5 years of manufacturing experience in a production environment.
  • Strong math and computer systems knowledge.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
  • Proficient in using scales, calculators, and ERP systems.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated team player who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

 

Education / Training Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
