What will you do?

On any given day, your responsibilities would include:

  • Maintaining and repairing tooling for the production floor
  • Selecting and setting up appropriate tooling and fixturing
  • Programming and setting controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, and depth and angle of cut
  • Studying blueprints, drawings, specifications, and sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations and setup requirements
  • Assembling and fitting mold components to build the finished mold
  • Inspecting and verifying conformance of the mold and its component pieces to specifications

 

You are a great fit if you have the following skills:

  • Knowledge of standard design practices for Tooling and Molds
  • Strong understanding and application of machining practices
  • Strong CAD/CAM skills
  • Ability to run all machines in the shop, including Trak CNC mills, AgieCharmilles sinker EDM, Mori Seiki VMC, Trak CNC lathe, Chevalier surface grinder
  • Strong math skills including basic trigonometry
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in mold or tool machining

The successful candidate will be trained on the latest technology including Camworks and Solidworks, which will include the extraction of electrode geometry using solid models. Training will also include the latest GF Agie wire and sinker CNC EDM, Mori-Seiki CNC Mill with 30 station tool changer, all within our climate controlled shop. You will become proficient in Project Management as you guide the injection mold project through it’s phases while enjoying the satisfaction of seeing the mold run in our in-house molding department.
