We are looking to add an energetic Customer Support Specialist to our team. This position is responsible for the customer order entry and order fulfillment process, including analyzing and processing customer inquiries, orders, acknowledgements, returns, credits, debits, and requests for information regarding delivery, expedites, push outs, blanket order management, customer order forecasting, and general order and process information. 

 

What will you do?

On any given day, your responsibilities would include:

 

  • Establishing and maintaining good relations with customers (internal and external) such as operations, engineering, sales, manufacturing sales representatives, accounting, and administration through various correspondence involved in processing customer inquiries and orders.
  • Reviewing all incoming customer orders to ensure that the part number, quantity, product specifications and price are consistent with those stated in the quotation, ensuring orders meet all Sarbanes Oxley compliance criteria.
  • Entering and processing orders into the operating system and advising customer and field sales of acknowledged ship dates as provided by the manufacturing plant. Advising customers of discrepancies between the quote and purchase order and working with them to obtain a revised, corrected copy of the purchase order. 
  • Performing customer relations duties on products sold by acting as a liaison between the customer, field sales, and the Company to ensure customer satisfaction. Re-directing customers to appropriate departments and/or to the website for RMA requests.
  • Working with customers and operations on requests for expedited delivery on orders to meet customer delivery requirements.
  • Coordinating with outside sales as appropriate. Forwarding copies of correspondence to the sales team, as well as manufacturer sale teams as necessary, to enable them to follow up on new business opportunities, quotes, and service problems.
  • Coordinating with Application Engineering and Field Sales to aid customers in the selection or application of products. Obtaining assistance for customers with regard to any changes in specifications.

 

You are a great fit if you have the following:

  • Associate degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong ERP systems knowledge, such as Oracle, Navission, and SAP
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
  • Skilled in reviewing customer purchase order terms and conditions
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines
  • Aptitute for resolving issues indepentently
  • Attention to detail with accuracy in processing orders and maintaining records
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills with internal and external clients
  • Demonstrated focus on delivering a positive client experience
  • Must be able to work well within a team or independently and demonstrate initiative to drive for results
  • Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for working well in a team-based environment
