Job Title:  Zygo - Senior Cost Accountant

As a Senior Cost Accountant, you will oversee manufacturing and project costs, collaborate with production teams to identify cost-saving opportunities, and support financial close, reporting, forecasting, and budgeting processes.

Key responsibilities:

• Evaluate product line profitability by analyzing monthly production variances and absorption results to provide actionable insights.
• Collaborate with key operational personnel to ensure a thorough understanding of cost
• Review project costs, participate in key business initiatives, and recommend enhancements to project management processes.
• Perform month-end financial closing activities, including cost of goods sold calculations and variance analyses,
• Develop continuous improvement initiatives to reduce the monthly financial closing cycle.
• Audit inventory cycle-count activities and timekeeping results as necessary to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Assist manufacturing units in developing annual budgeted departmental labor rates.

Required skills and qualification

• Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities to evaluate complex data sets and make informed recommendations.
• Attention to details to deliver accurate and efficient results on time, even within dynamic schedules.
• Proficiency in working with ERP systems, particularly Navision, including General Ledger operations, MRP processes, and database report

• Degree in accounting or finance.
• Experience in manufacturing standard costing,
• Proven ability in analyzing financial statements, with a focus on delivering clear and actionable insights to drive business outcomes.
