As a Quality Engineer, you will ensure the highest standards of quality and precision in our manufacturing processes through effective process controls, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement process controls based on risk assessment to either mitigate risk or ensure the point of generation detection of quality defects/concerns.
- Develop current Process Failure Mode Analyses (PFMEAs) for all manufacturing processes, with initial focus on core manufacturing processes.
- Perform root cause analysis on quality issues as directed and prioritized. Implement corrective actions associated with the true root cause of a given quality concern to ensure correction and prevent recurrence.
- Facilitate multi-disciplinary, recurring Material Review Board (MRB) meetings that assess internally reported nonconformities for disposition.
- Support continuous improvement activity within the facility. Launch and/or participate in multi-disciplinary Kaizen events as needed to enhance productivity and/or quality performance within the facility.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Industrial/Mechanical/Materials/Quality or Optical Engineering.
- 1-3 years of experience in mechanical, optical, and opto-mechanical assembly process development.
- Ability to apply statistical tools to analyze manufacturing processes.
- Strong working knowledge of Statistical Process Control, Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis, and Measurement System Analysis.
- Ability to conduct RCA and corrective action analysis for process control and variation.
