As a Trade Compliance Manager, you will play a key role in enhancing and maturing Zygo's established trade compliance framework while partnering with Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, and Leadership teams to support innovative technologies serving global markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with cross-functional teams to enhance, implement, and continuously improve Zygo's trade compliance program.
- Provide guidance on U.S. export control regulations, including ITAR, EAR, and OFAC requirements, and support export licensing activities.
- Develop, maintain, and improve trade compliance policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Collaborate with Engineering to determine ECCN and USML classifications for products, software, technical data, and technologies.
- Support compliance reviews, audits, training initiatives, and ongoing regulatory compliance activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in International Business, International Affairs, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Relevant experience supporting trade compliance, export controls, global trade operations, import/export administration, or a related compliance function.
- Knowledge of U.S. export control regulations, including ITAR, EAR, and OFAC requirements.
- Experience with export licensing activities and classification under the USML and/or Commerce Control List (CCL).
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and influence stakeholders across the organization.
- Experience contributing to the development, enhancement, or administration of trade compliance programs.
- Exposure to import compliance, customs regulations, HTS classification, or global trade operations.
