At Zygo, your expertise directly supports our core values of curiosity, collaboration, and persistence. For more than 50 years, Zygo Corporation has been a global leader in the design and manufacture of advanced optical metrology systems, ultra‑precision optical components, and complex electro‑optical assemblies. Our solutions enable breakthroughs across semiconductor, aerospace, medical, and research industries—where precision truly matters. Join a team where technical excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement are not just expected—but celebrated.

Zygo is seeking a Supply Chain Planning Manager to lead a critical transformation: evolving the organization from reactive scheduling to proactive, data‑driven planning. This is a highly visible role with enterprise‑wide impact, responsible for building and owning the planning infrastructure that supports operational stability, improved customer performance, and scalable growth.

You will design and lead best‑in‑class planning processes—most notably Master Production Scheduling (MPS) and Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP)—while serving as the central connector between Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance.

Key Responsibilities:

Master Production Scheduling (MPS)

  • Develop, maintain, and own the Master Production Schedule across all production areas.
  • Translate customer demand and forecasts into executable production plans.
  • Balance demand, labor, capacity, and material availability to create stable, achievable schedules.
  • Reduce schedule volatility through disciplined adherence, freeze windows, and structured change control.
  • Enable predictable execution and improved operational performance.

Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP)

  • Build and lead Zygo’s SIOP process from the ground up, including demand review, supply review, and executive SIOP.
  • Establish cadence, governance, and planning discipline across functions.
  • Drive alignment between Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance.
  • Improve forecast accuracy and long‑range visibility into demand, capacity, and constraints.
  • Lead monthly SIOP meetings and present data‑driven insights and recommendations to senior leadership.

Performance Improvement & KPI Ownership

  • Improve On‑Time Delivery (OTD) through stable planning, proactive communication, and schedule integrity.
  • Define, track, and report key planning and supply chain KPIs, including:
    • Schedule Adherence
    • OTD to Schedule
    • Forecast Accuracy
    • Capacity Utilization
    • Inventory Health & WIP Levels
  • Lead root‑cause analysis for variances and implement sustainable corrective actions.
  • Drive continuous improvement in inventory turns, WIP optimization, and production flow.

Cross‑Functional Leadership

  • Serve as the single point of truth for demand, supply, and scheduling decisions.
  • Partner closely with sales, operations, procurement, and production control
  • Train, mentor, and elevate planning and scheduling capabilities across the organization.

What Success Looks Like

  • A stable, trusted Master Production Schedule with reduced volatility.
  • A fully integrated, value‑adding SIOP process embraced by leadership.
  • Improved OTD, forecast accuracy, and capacity utilization.
  • Clear visibility to demand, supply risks, and decision tradeoffs.
  • Strong cross‑functional alignment and confidence in the planning process.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5–10 years of experience in Master Scheduling, Production Planning, or Supply Chain roles within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience implementing, leading, or maturing an SIOP / S&OP process.
  • Strong working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems
  • Demonstrated expertise in capacity planning, constraint management, and data‑driven decision making.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and translate insights into clear, executable plans.
  • Excellent communication, problem solving, and influencing skills across cross‑functional teams.

Bring your passion and commitment to Zygo, where we are curious, collaborative, persistent, and confident, where safety and quality guide every step of our journey.
