As a Supply Chain Intern, you will embark on an exciting 11-week journey, working on impactful projects that allow you to develop essential engineering skills and contribute to meaningful advancements in our products and processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Make-Buy Template Development: Develop and pilot a make-buy template that compares internal manufacturing cost to low-cost region landed cost and high-cost region landed cost. This will include logistics and other factors.
- Accounting and Cost Structures: Understand accounting, overhead, fixed and variable cost structures.
- Excel Template Creation: Generate an Excel or similar tool to serve as a secure and locked template for user-required inputs.
- Logistics and Tariffs: Research and incorporate inbound logistics and tariffs into the landed cost estimating template.
- Labor Rates and Cost Analysis: Understand labor rates, burden, and standard hours to calculate costs.
- Collaboration: Work with Finance, Accounting, Purchasing, Manufacturing, and Manufacturing Engineering teams.
- Excel Skills: Utilize moderate to advanced Excel skills to simplify and automate inputs related to cost, labor, logistics, and annual volumes.
