As a Quality Engineer Intern, you will embark on an exciting 11-week journey, working on impactful projects that allow you to develop essential engineering skills and contribute to meaningful advancements in our products and processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop an automated macro (Minitab) that analyzes a dataset of critical-to-quality (CTQ) characteristics relative to standard statistical process control (SPC) judgement rules and process capability (Cpk).
- Work with area stakeholders within Zygo’s optics and metrology segments to identify key process characteristics, collect data, validate the data analysis macro, and report results to the internal quality team.
- Apply a solid understanding of manufacturing concepts and product/process characteristics.
- Collaborate with stakeholders in Operations, Quality Engineering, and Manufacturing Engineering.
- Utilize a fundamental understanding of statistics and statistical analysis.
- Demonstrate basic familiarity with measuring and test equipment (MTE).
- Prior experience with Minitab or other statistical analysis software is preferred.
