As an Electrical Test and Validation Engineer, you will collaborate with design and operations teams to support world-class manufacturing of electro-optic products. Your role will require working knowledge of electrical systems and software design, electrical components, electronic test equipment, tooling and fixtures, as well as proficiency with PCs.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with design engineering to create and execute comprehensive test plans based on product specifications and industry standards. Perform electrical tests on products, components, and systems.
- Design automated and manual electrical test fixtures to support new and existing products. Create test software. Create fixture layout. Define optical and metrology hardware requirements. Assemble, align, and evaluate fixture.
- Debugging legacy and modern software systems (C#, MATLAB, and/or Python)
- Troubleshoot and provide failure analysis for Electrical Systems and products rejected in QC, production, or by a customer.
- Coordinate the transition of new product development to operations including testing, integration, processes, procedures, tooling, capital equipment, and fixturing.
Required Skills and Competencies
- B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- Proven capability to succeed in the role with relevant industry experience
- Hands-on programming/software experience, particularly in C#, MATLAB, and/or Python
- Strong foundational knowledge of PCBs, electrical components, system design, and electronic test equipment
- Solid understanding of digital and analog electronics and their application in circuit design
- Ability to interpret schematics and troubleshoot down to the component level
- Experience in the design and development of automated test systems to support both new and existing products
