As a Credit and Collections Analyst, you’ll be a strategic partner ensuring healthy cash flow, mitigating financial risk, and driving business growth through expert credit and collections management.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Assess and manage credit risk by analyzing financial data, setting credit limits, and ensuring compliance with DLA policies.
  • Drive timely collections through proactive customer engagement, issue resolution, and accurate record-keeping.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve discrepancies, support cash application, and maintain accurate customer accounts.
  • Contribute to financial accuracy by assisting with forecasting, reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close activities.
  • Ensure compliance and support operations through SOX documentation, audits, and providing backup for accounting and special projects.

 

Requirements and Qualifications

 

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field strongly preferred.
  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience in credit management, cash application, and collections processes.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite with advanced Excel and Word capabilities; familiarity with data analysis and reporting tools.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Navision and Avalara is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of fundamental accounting principles, including proper balances, debits, and credits.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building customer relationships.
    • High attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
    • Ability to prioritize, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
    • Collaborative mindset with a proactive approach to resolving issues.
