Job Title:  CNC Machinist

As a CNC Machinist, you will work in a collaborative team environment with state-of-the-art equipment where you will be responsible for operating machines to perform combinations of machining operations in our cutting-edge Optics group.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operate CNC and non-CNC machines to perform machining operations, including but not limited to drilling, milling, and shaping of glass material to specifications
• Assemble cutting tools and position tools in machine spindles according to requirements
• Write, load, edit and store programs to produce accurately machined parts
• Work from complex drawings, sketches, specifications, and written/verbal instructions
• Perform complex set ups to operate machinery on assignments that are new and unusual
• Partner with engineering as required

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent and 1+ years of experience
• A Safety-First and continuous improvement (problem-solving) mindset
• Ability to read, interpret/understand blueprints, drawings, and process routings
• Working knowledge of shop math and theory
• Detail-oriented
• A collaborative, team spirit
