JOB SUMMARY:

The Electronics Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining electronic systems and components for AMETEK Brookfield products. This role interprets engineering requirements, applies best practices in electronic design, and ensures compliance with industry standards and internal quality systems. The Electronics Engineer collaborates closely with mechanical, software, manufacturing, and service teams, proactively identifies and resolves technical challenges, and supports continuous improvement initiatives.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design, develop, and test electronic circuits, PCB layouts, and embedded systems for new and existing products.
  • Manage configuration control using ERP systems and maintain accurate Bills of Material for electronic components.
  • Maintain and organize the design database, ensuring documentation integrity and compliance with internal standards.
  • Support bring-up and troubleshooting of new PCBAs and instruments.
  • Support internal and external manufacturing operations.
  • Manage new product compliance tests including CE, EMC, UL and Safety.
  • Perform complex design assignments independently, from concept through final product release, including component selection, circuit analysis, and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review designs, analyze technical challenges, propose solutions, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Identify and implement improvements in design and documentation processes, recommend updates to standard practices, and support engineering management.

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in electronic design, PCB layout, and embedded systems development.
  • Experience in manufacturing environments, with demonstrated expertise in new product development and production support.
  • Proficiency in electronic design tools (e.g., Altium Designer, Eagle, OrCAD).
  • Embedded programming (C/C++/C#) and relevant software tools a plus.
  • Proficiency with electronic tools including oscilloscopes, signal generators, power supplies, etc.
  • Hands-on experience with FMEA, EMC compliance, and design for manufacturability.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, configuration control, and documentation best practices.
  • Proven ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and proactively identify and implement process improvements.

Salary Minimum:  $90,000
Salary Maximum:  $130,000
