We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Tax Accountant to join our team. This role involves analyzing financial information, identifying potential tax savings, and ensuring accurate and timely filing of tax documents. If you have a strong understanding of tax regulations and a passion for providing accurate and compliant tax services, we would love to hear from you.

 

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Bookkeeping: Bookkeeping for two holding companies.
  • Financial statements: Preparation of consolidated monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB and US GAAP. Support with the specifications for the consolidation of the companies for the consolidated financial statements and for the group reports.
  • Intercompany reconciliations: Execution and monitoring of intercompany reconciliations and postings.
  • Tax calculations: Preparation of tax calculations and disclosures in accordance with US GAAP at the end of the month, quarter and year.
  • Tax topics: Preparation of tax-relevant data for tax advisors and coordination with them.
  • Tax compliance: Ensuring tax compliance and helping to shape tax-relevant business processes.
  • Transfer pricing: Collaboration on international tax topics (e.g. transfer pricing documentation, international tax planning and optimization).
  • Sustainability reporting: Implementation of sustainability reporting.
  • R&D Subsidies: Applying for R&D Subsidies.
  • Treasury: cash management / banking / loans with affiliated companies.
  • Communication: communication with tax advisors, authorities and internal departments.
  • Interface function: interface function for tax questions with the accounting departments of various domestic and foreign companies.
  • SOX: implementation of tax-related SOX controls.
  • Audit support: Preparation and support for internal and external audits.
  • Process optimization: Identifying and implementing improvements in financial processes.
  • Project work: Collaboration on group-wide finance projects and special assignments.

 

Requirements:

  • Education: Degree in Business Administration, ideally with a major in Accounting or Finance, or an equivalent qualification.
  • Professional experience: 5-7 years of professional experience in auditing firms or in the accounting department (international) of an investment holding. company with accounting in accordance with HGB and US-GAAP or IFRS.
  • Knowledge: Profound knowledge of accounting regulations (HGB, US-GAAP or IFRS) and tax law.
  • IT knowledge: Confident handling of accounting software and MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Language skills: Good written and spoken German and English.
  • Personal skills: Analytical thinking, high affinity for numbers, accuracy and reliability, ability to work in a team and strong communication skills.
