The Sales Engineer will drive successful sales growth of the three Scientific Instruments brands; Princeton Applied Research, Solartron Analytical, and Signal Recovery for the DACH Sales market. This individual will be responsible for monthly quota and forecast attainment for the sales market and will contribute to that goal through direct sales, distribution partners, and reseller coaching and motivational efforts, strategic negotiation activity and creative problem solving.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for sales activities and growth within the DACH Sales market.
- Direct sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly.
- Develop and execute strategies to win new targeted business.
- Participate in the creation and promotion of strategic sales initiatives.
- Provide advanced support and technical sales guidance for each of the customers within the region of responsibility.
- Systematically work to develop a new customer base and new business opportunities.
- Accountable for:
- Agreed upon profitable orders attainment for the SI Business in DACH.
- Accurate and on-time forecasting essential for sales organization effectiveness.
- Perform market analysis and develop sales and marketing concepts.
- Other duties as required or directed.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor level degree or higher in Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Material Sciences or proven science background, experience in Electrochemistry of great advantage.
- 3+ years of experience track record of sales successes with technically complex products
- Be able to provide examples of problem solving skills in relation to sales scenarios.
- Strong ability to work independently as a self-motivated, driven contributor as well as a part of a diverse outspread team.
- Able to provide examples of a results oriented personality.
- Basic knowledge of CRM systems, reporting functionalities and metrics analysis
- Excellent written and spoken English & German language communication skills.
- Excellent presentation, negotiation and general sales skills.
- Be able and willing to travel no less than 50%.
- Driver’s license
The successful candidate may also meet the following desired qualifications:
- Employment background in electrochemistry or analytical chemistry laboratories
- Working knowledge of common electrochemistry software functionality through our own or competitor’s software
- Salesforce CRM specific knowledge
- Experience in key account management is an advantage
