As the Regional Sales Manager for the DACH region at AMETEK LAND, you will play a pivotal role in driving sales growth and expanding customer relationships across Germany, Austria, and the German-speaking region of Switzerland. This role is entirely direct, with no channel partners, allowing you to engage directly with major international companies.

 

Job Scope:

In this role, you will spearhead sales initiatives in the DACH region, covering Germany, Austria, and the German-speaking part of Switzerland. Your responsibilities will include building and expanding sales presence, nurturing customer relationships, attending industry events, and ensuring compliance with commercial policies. You will manage direct sales, respond to customer inquiries, and maintain accurate records within CRM systems. This role demands strong sales skills, a successful sales track record, effective communication skills, and the capacity to learn technical aspects of our products. A willingness to travel within the DACH region is essential. Key Responsibilities:

  • Territory Management: Develop and expand sales territories in the DACH region, meeting financial objectives.
  • Customer Relationships: Rapidly develop the regional customer base, identifying new opportunities and gaining market share.
  • Product Knowledge and Market Analysis: Acquire comprehensive product knowledge and analyse market trends and competitors.
  • Networking and Lead Generation: Attend events, trade shows, and conferences for networking and lead generation.
  • Territory Oversight: Manage all aspects of the territory, including increasing sales, conducting product demos, and providing customer training.
  • Sales Channel Management: Oversee direct sales channels, including OEMs, end users, and engineering/contracting firms.
  • Compliance and Communication: Ensure compliance with commercial policies and demonstrate outstanding communication skills in German and English.
  • Travel and Record Keeping: Travel within the DACH region (80%) and maintain accurate records in the CRM system.

Experience, Professional Qualifications, and Personal Requirements:

  • Educational Background: Qualified to degree level (or similar) in a technical discipline.
  • Sales Experience: 3+ years of experience working in a technical sales environment.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft packages, CRM systems, video webinar use, and quoting tools.
  • Travel Requirements: Driving license and passport.
