Job Description: 

 

The Sales Engineer is a multi-functional position and combines technical engineering expertise and customer-facing collaboration. The position is responsible for building customer relationships from prospecting, closing, to post sales support for generating new business as well as providing application and conceptual support to customers and regional sales organizations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for achieving territory and other assigned orders budgets
  • Constant communication with customers and assessing needs via e-mail, phone calls and customer visits
  • Identifies new customers in direct sales territory via Leads, soliciting, referrals, cold calls, etc.
  • Provides order pipeline, opportunities and forecasts and keeping forecasts updated.
  • Direct Sales in Germany (other EMEA countries on demand)
  • Provide Sales & Application support to EMEA/USA/India/Middle East regional organizations
  • Provide End-user Consulting to Customers in territories
  • Develop concepts and quotations according to project specification
  • Use numerical software simulation tools to support concept development

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline
  • Minimum Years of Work Experience: 3-5 years of related experience or the equivalent of education. Preferred experience in technology, capital equipment, and/or instrument sales.
  • Preferred software skills, including experience with simulation or engineering design tools
  • Preferred experience in environmental testing technology and Industrial Equipment Integration
  • Knowledge/Skills: Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills that include the ability to translate technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
  • Demonstrated time management and follow up skills – a proven deal closer.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, global, and cross-functional environment
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity, decision-marking, work quality, and to reduce costs.  The successful candidate must be able to identify appropriate AI use cases and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs.
  • Willingness to travel in direct territories or globally when required

Salary Minimum:  85,000
Salary Maximum:  110,000
