Position Summary
An interesting and challenging opportunity has arisen for a CNC Setter/Operator within our Machine Shop. Reporting to our Machine Shop Cell Leaders your responsibilities will include working various Production CNC and manual turning and milling machines.
In order to be successful in this role we are currently looking for a person that has meticulous attention to detail having worked in a precision environment to tight tolerances. The right person needs to be able to proficiently work CNC machines, have programming skills, is organised, and can manage their workload whilst being able to work as part of a team whilst also being reliable and flexible. Attention to detail is key to this role.
Key Responsibilities
- To be competent in Producing high quality components to tight drawing tolerances in given time scales utilizing the tools within the machine shop. Predominantly CNC Mill-Turn machines and Conventional Machines.
- Prepare and maintain CNC machine to required specification and procedural guidelines
- Ability to Set and change tools & make fine adjustments to produce accurate components.
- Operate CNC equipment to procedure and health and safety guidelines.
- To be conversant with ISO programming of CNC milling & turning machines.
- Essential to have the ability to inspect components to tight tolerances with standard inspection equipment including CMM.
- Work with all stakeholders to deliver the production plan on time.
- Ensure high standards of quality to exceed your customers’ expectations.

- Demonstrate communication skills required to liaise with Design, manufacturing, purchasing and production planning to effectively complete all required component manufacture tasks in a timely manner.
