Job Title: Technical Customer Service Representative

Position Description:
The Technical Customer Service Representative (CSR) will be the first and primary point of contact when a customer contacts AMETEK Sensors via phone or general email inbox. They will respond directly to the customer for requests for stocking levels, status updates, and pricing info from our catalog. Technical questions or pricing outside our catalog will be delegated to Inside Sales. When not responding to customer inquiries, this candidate will enter orders into Oracle, enter serial information, and file acknowledgments.
- Primary responsibility is to answer the Customer Service line for AMETEK Sensors. CSR’s goal is to minimize the number of calls that go to voicemail. CSR will resolve requests related to pricing, order status, distributor contact information, inventory levels. CSR will forward to Inside Sales requests related to special pricing, quality, technical advice.
- Utilize Oracle and Salesforce to enter new customer and sales data. Enter new sales orders into Oracle and update opportunities in Salesforce daily. Schedule ship dates with manufacturing and send order acknowledgments to customers. Digitally file purchase orders and related paperwork.
- Track progress of orders through manufacturing process with special attention to expedites. Investigate and resolve customer problems.
- Respond to customer requests for tracking information, packing slip, and certificate copies as needed. Assist with logging equipment serial numbers into database. Digitally file order-related documents, such as purchase order, acknowledgment, certificates into digital order library
- Forward communications on behalf of sales team and log those communications in Salesforce. Forward qualified leads on to Inside or Outside sales team.

Position Requirements:
- One to three years previous customer service experience
- High school degree required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong user of MS Office (Word, Excel)
- Self-motivated, able to work with little supervision
- Familiarity with technical drawings preferred
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Previous experience with MRP software (Oracle preferred); CRM software (Salesforce preferred)
