Job Description: 

SUMMARY
Manages the full range of maintenance functions for all buildings, grounds, and equipment.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for safe operation and maintenance of facility and grounds to include:

•    Electrical system 
•    Water and sewage systems
•    Heating and air conditioning systems
•    Fire protection system
•    Compressed air system
•    Preventive maintenance of equipment and facility systems. 
•    Participates in safety audits and ensures safety compliance.
•    Supervises the activities of outside contractors engaged in related work.
•    Coordinates facility waste and janitorial services.
•    Repairs of manufacturing equipment and other miscellaneous services.
•    Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

•    High school diploma or general education degree (GED) 
•    Six to eight years related experience and/or training required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
•    Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  
•    Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  
•    Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness, strong attention to detail and quality. Strong work ethic and problem-solving skills. 
•    Consistently at work and on time, keeps commitments and meets deadlines; ability to work overtime as needed. 
•    Responds to management direction and follows instructions; listens well and gets clarification. 
•    Ability to work in a team setting and contribute to building a positive team spirit
•    Follows company policies and procedures; supports safety initiatives. Adapts to changes in the work environment. Strong organizational and planning skills.
•    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  
•    Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. 
•    Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  
•    Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; and taste or smell.  The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
