Job Description: 

SPECTRO is one of the worldwide leading suppliers of analytical instruments, employing optical emission (stationary and mobile Arc/Spark OES, ICP-OES) and Xray fluorescence spectrometry (XRF) technology, used for the elemental analysis of materials in industry, research, and academia.

 

Main responsibilities: 

 

  • Lead all planning and reporting cycles for the SPECTRO group entities - consolidated weekly reporting, monthly closing and forecast, annual budget, annual strategic plan
  • Prepare and deliver weekly, monthly and annual presentations of financial results and expectations to leadership
  • Manage ongoing ad hoc requests from business unit management, division or corporate leadership on an ongoing basis
  • Lead the preparation for periodic business reviews focused on operating performance, working capital, excess & obsolete inventory, and new product development
  • Lead all internal controls processes for the business unit - monthly, quarterly, annual SOX requirements; Provide support and leadership of internal and external audits
  • Drive process improvements across the business unit in the areas of FP&A and compliance
  • Collaborate with leadership of SPECTRO and the division to achieve strategic objectives - acquistion research, diligence and integration; Operational organic initiatives; Capital investment planning
  • Reviewing significant trends/variances in financial data

 

Position requirements:

 

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting/ Finance / Controlling preferred or equivalent experience, f.e. audit Experience in Consolidating of various reporting entities into a group result (Financial Statements)  
  •  Track records in collaboration with US mother company
  •  Deep knowledge of US GAAP and working experience in Sarbanes Oxely
  • Analytical abilities, and good planning & organizational skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
  • Ability to communicate with different cultures and with management regarding financials in
  • Fluent communication in English (German is a plus)
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office, BaaN and HFM preferred
