Job Title: Senior Accountant

As a Senior Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate completion of complex accounting tasks and financial analyses, which are essential for supporting management in making informed business decisions. You will primarily focus on tactical accounting duties, such as General Ledger Management and Account Reconciliations, compliance-related testing including Sarbanes-Oxley, and generating management-required reports.
What you will do:

Month-End Financial Closing: Manage monthly G/L closing, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and analysis. Assist in uploading data to the HFM corporate reporting system.

Management Reporting: Prepare daily and monthly financial reports on key business indicators (KPIs) such as shipments and bookings for tracking and trending purposes.

Capital/Fixed Assets: Coordinate capital requisitions and maintain Fixed Assets in the FAS System. Post monthly depreciation, additions, and disposals to the G/L. Complete annual fixed asset physical inventory. Review capital appropriation requests for new equipment, tooling, or other capital purchases.

Leases: Maintain lease accounting software, including adding new leases, running month-end reports, and posting appropriate journal entries. Assist the Plant Controller in an annual review of new and existing vendor contracts to determine if they qualify as leases under the new ASC 842 guidelines.

Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX): Conduct SOX quarterly testing following corporate internal audit procedures. Complete required forms and testing for SOX compliance. Perform quarterly cycle count inventory audits.

Expense Analysis: Assist in budget and forecast expense projections. Prepare monthly expense reports comparing budget/forecast to actual expenses.

Cost Accounting: Serve as a backup for inventory, costing analysis, and reporting, including the annual standard cost roll.

Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned (e.g., prepare and distribute internal monthly, quarterly and yearly reporting)
What we are looking for:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required

Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience

Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

Advanced knowledge of Excel, including PivotTables and formulas

Manufacturing ERP experience (Oracle and/or SAP) strongly preferred

Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and a strong commitment to efficiency, timeliness, quality, accuracy, and confidentiality

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects independently with minimal direction and solid follow-through

Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively
