The Product Manager, Pittman NA & EMEA is the subject matter expert in technical and commercial applications related to their respective product line. In this role, our colleague will be responsible for all aspects of the business and lead a team that includes sales, applications engineering, and planning resources. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, product line forecasting, ongoing competitive and market analysis, and implementation of commercialization and vitality initiatives to meet the product line revenue targets.
This role is responsible for implementing pricing strategies, developing pricing and margin targets on non-standard product requests, and developing collateral (White Papers, “How-to” Videos, and Website content related to promoting our products) and tools to equip the sales organization and channel partners.
What you will do:
- Responsible for orders, sales, and profit of the business.
- Manage product vitality; Define and implement vitality initiatives to mitigate gaps in product launch targets.
- Conduct ongoing competitive and market analysis. Lead competitive benchmarking sessions, prepare competitive product feature comparison spreadsheets, prepare competitive pricing analysis and conduct ongoing market insight. Synthesize insight for input into product road maps, value selling, market positioning, and strategic planning.
- Identify new applications and market space opportunities. Develop business cases, secure required funding, and develop strategies and tactics to penetrate new spaces.
- Manage the Representative network. Prepare and execute annual price adjustments to attain revenue and margin targets. Develop annual goals and track progress.
- Update all collateral, tools, and online applications to ensure accurate and timely pricing.
- Provide technical and application training to sales, customer service, and application engineers to enable stakeholders to successfully apply content and learnings into their respective disciplines.
- Liaison between Sales, Engineering & Operations to coordinate troubleshooting responses to customer problems, product issues, new opportunities, or solution proposals.
- Optimize the Representative network by eliminating poor performers and adding high performers to help drive business growth.
- Work with Engineering, Manufacturing, and suppliers to support VAVE and supply chain initiatives impacting product development, pricing, or margin.
- Collaborates with the Marketing team to develop campaigns aimed at increasing business in existing applications and market spaces.
- Support product development projects, including gathering customer input and translating it into product requirements.
- Build strong relationships with Rep entities.
Product Technical Responsibility

- Assist with product competitive analysis: develop pricing plan, schedule engineering resources, provide oversight and technical analysis of engineering-provided data to ensure our product life cycles remain healthy
Support Product Commercialization
- Establish forecasts, maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPI) information, and perform ongoing analysis for assigned products.

- Assist in developing functional specifications for new product line platforms, including gathering VOC for input to these specs

What we are looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in relevant technical field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum 6 years relevant experience required

- Solid presentation and negotiating skills required
