Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Supply Chain Manager to oversee and optimize our supply chain operations. This role will involve strategic planning, procurement, logistics, and inventory management to ensure seamless operations and support our commitment to delivering exceptional products.
Essential Functions
- Supervise the Material Manager and Stockroom team.
- Oversee a team of Buyers/Planners responsible for the procurement of raw materials, sub-assemblies, outside services, and consumable materials.
- Manage the operations and related activities of the shipping/receiving dock.
- Establish a process to effectively manage expensed inventory components and materials for the Operations team.
- Develop procurement and inventory strategy that effectively aligns with the current sales and operations plan.
- Build a more robust/diversified supplier portfolio by leveraging GSO partners.
- Develop and execute a procurement strategy to offset inflation with PPV.
- Work with the systems administrator to develop and establish critical dashboards and data sets to improve the efficacy of management as it relates to procurement, production planning/scheduling, inventory control, analysis, etc.
- Implement and facilitate recurring monthly SIOP process.
- Expedites supplier deliveries and conducts follow-up when necessary. Provide support and perform procurement functions for R&D/Prototype and Engineering team with new product development to reduce our time to market.
- Help resolve invoicing and shipping issues between suppliers and company accounting/receiving functions.
- Manage inventory to ensure metrics are achieved. Ex. Inventory accuracy, variances, turns, average inventory valuation, total cost of ownership, etc.
- Develop daily, and monthly routines for the department to ensure alignment with applicable portions of the organization.
- Works alongside other departments and teams to develop strategic goals for the SCM Team.
- Manage and enforce material flow and traceability in a manufacturing environment.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years management experience in Planning with a strong background in Production Control, Warehousing, and Materials Management in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, decision-making, and communication skills are a must.
- Must be a problem solver, have excellent multitasking abilities, be proficient with data input, and have strong math skills.
- Able to manipulate database data in spreadsheets using advanced Excel concepts.
- Bachelor’s degree (preferably in business) or equivalent, APICS certification a plus.
- MRP/ERP systems experience required.
