PRECITECH designs and manufactures ultra precision machining solutions for freeform diamond turning, milling, and grinding which are used to produce optical lenses, mold inserts, mirrors, and precision mechanical components. Our diamond turning machines produce rotationally symmetric, asymmetric, freeform, and sculpted geometries with form tolerances in the sub-micron range and nanometer surface finishes.

 

Position Description

We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated, and career-minded individual to serve as Plant Manager at our Keene, NH location.  This person is a key member of the leadership team helping to develop and drive the strategic plan for the business inclusive of setting both long- and short-term goals to achieve the highest standards for safety, quality, order fulfillment, and financial metrics.  Responsibilities include all aspects of operations at this facility including Production, Quality, Supply Chain, Safety, and Facilities. 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for identifying and implementing productivity and process improvements to support business goals with the emphasis on safety, quality, on time delivery, inventory, and productivity. 
  • Develop and deploy operations related plans, budgets, policies and procedures.  This includes cost improvement initiatives.
  • Responsible for determining the need for labor, space, materials and capital equipment and providing cost analysis and justification. 
  • Responsible for driving leadership and engagement of the Operations Team including professional development and team building.
  • Conduct data analyses to drive strategic action plans and continuous improvement initiatives for business operations metrics.
  • Establishes and maintains a high level of business and personal ethics following company standard operating procedures and ensures everyone operates in a similar manner.
  • Lead Daily Management of operational metrics at the Plant SQDIP meetings.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Engineering or other technical area of study. 
  • 7+ years of operational leadership experience in a lean manufacturing environment including experience managing across operations functions and a solid understanding of manufacturing processes and techniques.
  • Machining or machine shop leadership experience required.
  • Demonstrated positive results with lean manufacturing, kaizen, 6 sigma, and various continuous improvement tools.
  • Experience in supply chain and knowledge of procurement best practices, strategic global sourcing, and inventory management.
  • Superior leadership skills with the ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, presentation skills and demonstrated ability to interface at all levels of the company. 
  • Demonstrated success in developing high performing teams.
  • Knowledge of standard financial processes and budgeting, with solid business acumen.
