Ametek Precitech is seeking a highly motivated and organized Finance Business Partner to join our business unit as a key member of the Finance team reporting to the Business Unit Controller. The role will be based at our Keene, NH location and will require occasional travel to Peabody, MA. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of cost principles at a manufacturing location and general accounting, have strong attention to detail, excellent time management and communication skills, and a passion for continuous improvement. This position will serve as a key partner to the Business Manager.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and manage cost management systems and policies to ensure correct valuation of inventory and a full understanding and analysis of production costs.
- Ability to present and summarize information in a meaningful way to support decision making at the site, in addition make recommendations based on the information and data summarized
- Assist with the preparation of monthly forecasts and the annual budget with a focus on manufacturing cost and working capital.
- Develop relationships across all functions and levels of the business and act as the Accounting and Finance partner to site leader.
- Drive the implementation and improvement of business intelligence and dashboard tools and reports to provide meaningful KPIs and analysis that enables business strategies.
- Drive monthly financial close process ensuring accurate financial results and requirements are complete, reviewed and analyzed within corporate and division timelines.
- Develop and review General Ledger account reconciliations.
- Evaluate accounting policies and procedural control systems and work to improve effectiveness and compliance. This includes monthly/quarterly SOX testing and upkeep of required documentation in the Corporate SOX database.
- Assist with audit and compliance activities as assigned.
- Manage and develop Finance talent.
- Continuously seek ways to improve the departments efficiency.
- Collaborate with and support the broader Precitech team in their continuous improvement efforts in the business.
Role Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field - CPA or CMA certification is a plus.
- 8+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in a manufacturing and equipment/engineering environment.
- Strong, working knowledge of inventory cycle counts and cost accounting.
- Experience working at a public company.
- Demonstrated experience in driving and implementing change and process improvements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a bias for action and delivering results.
- Ability to explain complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with diverse groups cross-functionally.
- Detail oriented, organized and an ability to work on multiple tasks/projects concurrently.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ownership mentality.
- Ability to operate with ambiguity and little supervision.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly with Excel required.
- Experience with Power BI, Visual and Dynamics AX is an advantage.
