Job Title: Tooling Technician

The Tooling Technician is responsible for maintaining control, accuracy, and compliance of production tooling and measurement systems used in manufacturing and inspection processes. This role ensures proper tracking, inspection, and storage of company, customer, and supplier tooling, and supports calibration activities for measuring and test equipment.
This position plays a key role in supporting production and quality objectives by ensuring tools are accurate, properly maintained, readily available, and compliant with internal procedures and industry standards.
How You Will Do It:
- Read and interpret engineering drawings to identify tooling, fixture, and assembly requirements
- Calibrate tools and maintain accurate electronic and paper calibration records
- Track tooling location to ensure traceability and enable timely recall
- Inspect returned tools to ensure they are undamaged, properly labeled, and ready for storage
- Identify and flag tools approaching calibration due dates
- Maintain identification and control of measuring and test equipment
- Support calibration activities to ensure compliance with traceable standards
- Recognize and report nonconformances
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace in alignment with 5S standards
- Support production and organizational goals by completing additional tasks as needed
- Support FAI/First Piece checks for machine parts
What We Look For:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 2+ years of manufacturing or aerospace experience preferred
- Warehouse experience a plus
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and correlate them to physical components
- Experience assembling parts using kitted materials preferred
- Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and measurement equipment
- Forklift, electric lift, and/or pallet jack experience preferred
- Basic computer skills
- Experience with CMM and/or Romer Arm preferred
- Knowledge of general shop tools and aerospace manufacturing environments
- Able to lift 10 pounds consistently without assistance, 50 pounds occasionally with assistance
- Must be available to work assigned schedules and overtime as needed to support production demands
- Schedule may include extended hours or weekends based on business needs
