Job Description: 

Position Summary: 

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Level 2 NDT X-Ray Technician to join our aerospace manufacturing team. In this role, you will perform Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) using film and/or digital radiography systems to ensure the structural integrity of aerospace components. You will identify sub-surface defects and ensure compliance with strict aerospace quality and radiation safety standards.

How You Will Do It: 

  • Perform radiographic inspections by setting up, calibrating, and operating X-ray equipment on aerospace components
  • Interpret radiographic film and digital images to identify defects based on engineering drawings and specifications  
  • Develop and follow radiographic techniques to optimize inspection results for various part geometries
  • Document inspection results and ensure compliance with AS9100, FAA, and NADCAP quality standards
  • Follow all radiation safety protocols and complete required safety training
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance, calibration checks, and preventative upkeep
  • Collaborate with engineering and quality teams and provide guidance to Level 1 technicians

What We Look For:

  • Years of required experience: Minimum 2–4 years of experience performing X-ray inspections in aerospace or similar industries
  • Degree / Equivalent experience: High School Diploma or GED required
  • Certifications preferred: NDT Level 2 Radiographic Testing (RT) certification in accordance with NAS-410 or ASNT SNT-TC-1A
  • Soft Skills Required: Strong attention to detail, ability to work independently, and effective collaboration skills
  • List Technical skills: Proficiency in radiographic inspection, blueprint reading, GD&T, and manufacturing codes
  • Working knowledge of MS Office products
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Aerospace or manufacturing experience
