Position Summary:
Lead Sales Support Specialist is responsible for ensuring that the commercial operations of the organization run smoothly, efficiently, and in alignment with strategic objectives. They play a crucial role in supporting sales efforts, maintaining customer relationships, and driving revenue growth. This role is multifaceted and requires attention to detail, effective communication, strong organizational skills, and a good understanding of both the company's policies and external regulations are essential to ensure that orders are processed accurately and efficiently, and that customers' needs are met effectively.
Responsibilites:
- Interface for price and availability, lead times, status of internal/external sales orders, shipments of materials, expediting of shipments and/or materials.
- Effectively enter sales orders, return for credit requests, contract agreements, credits & debits, and customer’s data in a timely fashion and without error. Use departmental service commitments & achieving metrics.
Monitor Customer Master data plus Security Check (AEB) - Interface with Supply Chain to coordinate shipments of material to meet our customer’s needs and requirements.
- Understanding and familiarization with Government Orders, DPAS ratings, export controls, customs regulations, shipping practices for export shipments, letter of credit, end user statements, Certificates of Origin, and transfer pricing.
- Review PO, contracts, T’s & C’s, and other related documentation to ensure compliance to company policy, government specifications and other requirements.
- Interface with various departments within the company to ensure compliance and address any questions or concerns as it related to part numbers, pricing, credit worthiness, finance, legal, ITC and QA when processing orders.
- Provide support to internal and external customers as it relates to requests such as order history, product information.
Investigate discrepancies and coordinate operation deadlines with relevant parties in accordance with departmental procedures.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in business, or related field and 2+ years’ experience in customer service role or 5 years’ experience in relevant area (i.e. commercial, sales operations, and business processes)
- Excellent communications skills (both verbal and written), influential and collaborative skills.
- Conscientious with attention to detail, with ability to concentrate for extended periods of time
- Strong Troubleshooting/Problem Solving Skills.
- Experience in managing Strategic Accounts
- Order processing experience including Government orders.
- Contract review experience.
- Strong external customer focus and customer orientation
- Action oriented - takes responsibility for decisions, actions & results.
- Ability to assimilate a large number of process exceptions
Qualifications:
- SAP Order Processing Experience
- Advanced Excel skills
- Ability to work independently while still being a team player.
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong facilitation skills
- Experience using workflows.
- Call Center experience
- Front-end commercial/customer experience
