Chandler Engineering is the world's largest supplier of instruments for testing oil, gas and geothermal well cements. We are looking for a Regional Sales Manager to work closely with internal and external subject matter experts to expand our core and non-core market portfolios.  The Regional Sales Manager should follow and understand new and evolving energy and environmental policies to support new and existing customers in achieving their organizational goals. This position will have a focus on Clean Energy solutions that begin as early as E&P, through decommissioning (Lifecycle Management), as well as the adjacent markets that depend on those sources: circular plastics, midstream processing & downstream petrochemical processing.

 

Responsibilities:​

  • Develop, implement, and support clean energy strategies to achieve and exceed annual custom projects and new market penetration goals.
  • Responsible for Sales forecast accuracy, managing opportunity funnel and delivering on strategic growth initiatives.
  • Effectively manage the buying and selling process by involving a network of key players to solve customer operational issues to help them achieve their business objectives.
  • Demonstrate strategic thinking by anticipating future trends by looking outward at the customer ‘s market, competition, and alternatives.
  • Provide an accurate and current view of account penetration, sales performance, and customer satisfaction including the health of the funnel/pipeline.
  • Develop periodic and annual sales forecasts. 
  • Assist in providing technical services to customers relating to use, operation, and maintenance of instruments; ensures timely answers to customer requests.
  • Responsibility for each transaction extends beyond the quote to cash cycle, the RSM is responsible for ensuring products are properly commissioned and meeting customer expectations.
  • Ensure quotation follow-up, paying special attention to customer needs.
  • Call on management representatives such as engineers, measurement personnel, or other professional and technical personnel at commercial, industrial, and other establishments and attempts to convince prospective client of desirability and practicability of products or services offered.
  • Develop and prepare cost estimates or measurement improvements from customers' use of proposed equipment or services.
  • Propose changes in equipment, processes, or use of materials or services which would result in cost reduction or improvement in operation.
  • Strive to add customer-specific value through improving business processes by viewing situations from the customer's perspective.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

 

Requirements: ​ 

  •  
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Environmental Science, or equivalent experience is required. 
  • 5+ years of sales experience in an industrial setting; academic research experience will be considered.
  • Familiarity with renewable and conventional energy systems, sustainability, emerging technology, and innovation processes.
  • Fundamental understanding of manufacturing, refining technologies, refinery operations, and/or fuels manufacturing.
  • Staunch disciplinarian with regards to ethics, safety, environmental and quality policies.
