Summary: The Calibration Specialist the primary lead for the Calibration Lab. Under minimal supervision, assist production metrology lab to assess and maintain the Calibration and Measurement capability of the laboratory and evaluate the accuracy of the products. This involves calibrating manufactured products and repair returned equipment. Develop, maintain, and operate pneumatic and hydraulic calibration lab and test equipment for high accuracy pressure, temperature, and electrical measurement instruments.

Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the capability of the Calibration laboratory including understanding of the accuracies of the manufactured instruments.
- Participate in internal and external compliance audits to maintain ISO 9001 and related certifications. This may include coordination with other labs to perform Proficiency Testing.
- Run calibration hardware and software per defined work instructions in a production metrology environment.
- Schedule and coordinate the calibration and flow of production material to meet shipping targets prescribed by the goals of the business unit.
- Knowledge of pressure measurement, related sciences, and their link to AMETEK products.
- Maintain calibration assets and facilities, high pressure piping, electrical and temperature-based systems and equipment as necessary to meet company goals.
- Participate in the development and integration of specialized calibration instrumentation and techniques.
- Supervision and training of Cal Lab Personnel. Calibrate assets and maintain accurate records for all equipment standards.
- Prescribe and implement effective preventative maintenance program to avoid premature failures.
- Assist in maintaining clear, concise, and accurate laboratory records, technical reports or work instructions as required.
- Operate calibration and test hardware when necessary.
- Maintains created quality records according to the AMETEK STC Quality System.

General Skills & Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree (B. S.) in Engineering or related technical discipline desired.
- Three to five years related technical experience and/or training in a manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of software development languages and tools used to control electro-mechanical equipment.
- Experience in hazardous location requirements including FM, ATEX, and IECEx is desired.
- Excellent communication skills, written and oral, as well as exceptional design documentation and project organizational skills.
- Self-motivated, able to work under little supervision, able to adapt to changing design requirements and easily transition between projects to meet priorities.
- Able to work in a team environment.
- Excellent computer skills, including MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
