We are currently seeking an Information Technology Intern for our Herndon, VA office. We are looking for an enthusiastic IT Intern to join our Information Technology team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the IT field. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, provide technical support, and assist with a variety of IT-related tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the company’s technology infrastructure.
What will you do?
- Assist with the setup, configuration, and maintenance of computer hardware and software.
- Provide technical support to staff for both hardware and software issues, resolving problems in a timely and efficient manner.
- Help in the deployment and installation of operating systems and software applications.
- Update and maintain IT inventory (hardware and software).
- Assist with system backups, data recovery, and documentation processes.
- Help in troubleshooting and supporting peripheral devices, including printers, scanners, and external drives.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve technical issues and improve system functionality.
- Participate in IT projects as required, such as system upgrades, software rollouts, and other infrastructure improvements.
What are we looking for?
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking.
- Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, or other productivity tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively with non-technical staff.
- Eagerness to learn and develop technical skills in a real-world environment.
- Team-oriented, proactive, and adaptable.
