Job Title: Senior Product Engineer

AAG seeks a dynamic and technically proficient Sr Product Engineer to drive business growth in the Engine Cooling Systems segment for Military Land Vehicles. The role involves being the technical lead in the US for the AAG business, direct customer engagement, technical sales support and proposal development.
AAG is looking for a subject matter expert in the field of Engine Cooling Systems, ideally someone who has worked at prime vehicle integrators to design and develop vehicle cooling systems and thermal management systems.
Main Duties/Responsibilities
Technical Excellence
- Review customer requirements and prepare technical concepts to customers.
- Prepare and deliver compelling proposals and presentations tailored to customer requirements.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in tandem with the sales team within the military land vehicle sector across North America.
- Provide technical sales support for engine cooling systems, including fans, heat exchangers, and integrated thermal management solutions.
- Ensure customer needs are translated into viable solutions to secure North American growth opportunities.
- Ensure customer requirements are aligned with AAG’s product roadmap and capabilities to secure long-term growth.
- Represent AAG at industry trade shows, exhibitions, and customer meetings to promote our technology leadership.
- Ensure alignment with company goals for revenue growth, customer satisfaction, and strategic positioning.
Strategic Engagement
- Act as the key technical primary point of contact for key military vehicle OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships with procurement, engineering, and programme management stakeholders.
- Work closely with internal teams; sales, operations and finance to ensure seamless execution of customer programmes.
- Support contract negotiations and manage scope changes in collaboration with commercial and legal teams.
- Negotiate and manage technical programme scope during the bid and delivery phase.
Key Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in product management and/or technical sales or technical leadership.
- Strong understanding of thermal management systems, particularly engine cooling technologies.
- Proven track record of sales success in complex, engineered products.
- Experience working with, designing, and/or selling vehicle cooling systems.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage both technical and commercial audiences.
- Experience working with military procurement processes and compliance requirements.
- Ability to travel up to 30% of the time across North America and occasionally internationally.
- This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export control laws and regulations (including, but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)). To be qualified to work in this facility, a successful applicant must be a U.S. Person, as defined in those regulations, and able to supply evidence of that qualification prior to starting work or be authorized to receive controlled information under a specific license or permission from the relevant government agency. Other Responsibilities/Non-essential Functions
- Undertake training that is identified as a requirement of the role as identified by the role Manager.
- Undertake all other reasonable requests that are made by the role manager/acting manager or Directors.
- At times of reduced department staff attendance there will be a need to be flexible and provide support outside of the normal tasks of the job to ensure customer satisfaction.
- On occasion you may be required to take on ad hoc duties which includes, but is not limited to training, department associated tasks and brief secondment to other departments.
