For our locations in Hadamar-Steinbach or Neuwied, we are looking for a committed and future-oriented partner in the area of research and development:
Master's student (m/f/d) Monthly stipend, 6 months
OR Working Student (m/f/d) 20h, hourly rate, 6 months
OR Compulsory intern (m/f/d) 40h, hourly rate, 6 months
What tasks await you?
- Implementation of a practical AI project in the field of computer vision for camera-based employee assistance and in-process quality inspection in production
- Analysis of an existing manual assembly process as well as identification of typical sources of error, deviations and potential for improvement
- Research and apply best practices from AI and computer vision (e.g., object detection, completeness checking, anomaly detection) for an industrial proof of concept
- Collaborate with production staff, quality engineers, manufacturing engineers, and R&D to identify requirements and define clear success criteria
- Collection and analysis of results (e.g. error reduction, usability feedback) as well as derivation of recommendations for scaling or further development
What do we expect from you?
- Ongoing Master's degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Engineering, Data Science or a comparable course of study
- Strong interest in artificial intelligence, computer vision or automation in manufacturing
- First practical experience in programming (preferably C++) or data analysis (e.g. Python, OpenCV, MLFrameworks) required
- Knowledge of machine learning and deep learning concepts
- Interest in process optimization and digitization of manual workflows
- Structured, careful and independent way of working
