AMETEK Brookfield is looking for an ambitious Regional Sales Manager (m/f/d) located in a home office in German Central Region to complete and support our European Sales and Service team. Headquarters are located in the US, while German office is in Hadamar-Steinbach.

 

After appropriate training the new colleague will take over full responsibility of their sales area.
 

Your job with us:

  • Develop & build sales territories within assigned region (Hesse) while meeting regional sales financial objectives by forecasting requirements.
  • Maintains and expands customer base by building and maintaining rapport with key customers; identifies new customer opportunities.
  • Acquires and maintains a comprehensive knowledge of all assigned product lines by attending in-house technical training courses.
  • Attends sales meetings and trade shows and reads industry publications to gain knowledge of competitors’ product strengths and weaknesses within assigned sales territory.
  • Participates in technical/professional organizations or networking groups, attends trade shows and/or conferences to obtain leads.
  • Manages all aspects of the assigned territory, e.g., increasing sales, developing and managing customer relationships, conducting product demos, installations and customer training.
  • Provide timely, accurate, follow up to customer enquiries and keep accurate records within CRM.
  • Manage the direct sales channels within territory including OEM’s, end users and engineering/contracting firms.
  • Ensures compliance with all relevant commercial policies and procedures to ensure that the business maintains full legal compliance with all relevant national legislation and Ametek policies.

 

Your skills:

  • Qualified to degree level (or similar) in a technical discipline
  • 3+ years experience of working in a technical sales environment is strongly preferred
  • Proven / demonstrable successful track record in growing sales and customer base
  • Key Account Management experience desirable
  • Strong team player with the ability to work successfully on own initiative
  • Ability to translate technical product information into strong customer value proposition
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft packages, CRM systems, video webinar use & quoting tools.
  • Effective time management and organisational skills in setting priorities

  • Willingness to travel within Germany ( 80%)
  • Attention to detail in maintaining required records and reports.
