Job Description: 

 

We are seeking a Business Development Associate to support our Business Development and Sales teams in the aerospace & defense sector. This role will assist with proposal development, cost estimating, customer engagement, and strategy implementation to help win new business and grow existing programs. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and thrives in a fast-paced, compliance-driven environment. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing compliant, compelling proposals per RFI/RFP/RFQ requirements
  • Help build Basis of Estimates (BOEs), pricing models, and cost narratives
  • Coordinate inputs from engineering, operations, finance, and contracts
  • Contribute to capture plans, competitive assessments, and win themes
  • Prepare labor, material, and burden estimates; support price-to-win analyses
  • Research target customers and maintain CRM records
  • Support meeting prep, agendas, and follow-ups
  • Help operationalize BD strategies and monitor market developments
  • Ensure compliance with ITAR/EAR, FAR/DFARS, and corporate policies 

 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in; Business, Engineering, Finance, or related field
  • 4-6 years of experience in business development, proposals, or pricing
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM tools
  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • Excellent organization and time management.
  • ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Position is subject to ITAR restrictions

 

 Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with BOEs
  • Familiarity with FAR/DFARS, ITAR/EAR
  • Exposure to government procurement processes
  • Assess and qualify whether customer RFPs align with the company's technical capabilities and core competencies, ensuring pursuit of opportunities that match strategic strengths
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Finance, or related field; a technical or engineering background is highly desirable
