Job Description: 

As a Warehouse and Maintenance Associate you will be responsible for the efficient handling, organization, and movement of inventory within our warehouse. This role includes tasks such as receiving, storing, and shipping products, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring the warehouse is clean and organized. You will also be responsible for the upkeep of the warehouse and facilities. This role involves performing routine inspections, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.  Strong attention to detail, the ability to operate warehouse equipment safely, and good communication skills are key for success in this role.

 

The Warehouse and Maintenance Associate will:

  • Receive, store, and organize incoming shipments of products. Ensure inventory is properly labeled and stored in designated areas.
  • Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy in product selection and packaging.
  • Assist in the unloading of delivery trucks, inspect incoming goods for damage, and verify that they match order specifications. Load and ship outgoing orders to customers or retailers.
  • Restock shelves with products and ensure that items are accessible for easy picking. Ensure the warehouse is organized and products are correctly rotated (first in, first out).
  • Inspect products for defects, damages, or discrepancies and report any issues to supervisors.
  • Participate in regular inventory counts and audits to ensure accurate stock levels.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring aisles are clear and safety standards are met.
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks to move large or heavy items safely.
  • Keep records of incoming and outgoing shipments, inventory levels, and any discrepancies or damages.
  • Perform minor repairs on appliances, fixtures, and other household or commercial items (e.g., fixing leaks, repairing broken doors or windows, patching holes in walls).
  • Carry out routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning gutters, changing air filters, and inspecting HVAC systems or plumbing for issues.
  • Handle various small tasks or requests that may be outside the scope of regular maintenance.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.

 

Warehouse and Maintenance Person Position Requirements:

  • Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy items. Physical endurance for standing, walking, or bending for extended periods.
  • Attention to Detail, ability to accurately pick, pack, and label products.
  • Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced environment.
  • Clear communication skills for reporting issues, working with teammates, and following instructions.
  • Ability to keep track of inventory, maintain orderliness in the warehouse, and prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to address and resolve discrepancies or issues in inventory or shipments.
  • Perform a variety of tasks such as plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, painting, and minor repairs.
  • Identify and fix problems around buildings, or facilities.

Salary Minimum:  $40,000
Salary Maximum:  $55,000
