Job Title: Welder

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
The Production Welder will perform precision welding of aluminum, stainless steel, Inconel, and other aerospace alloys in accordance with engineering drawings, welding procedures, and aerospace quality standards. This position requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to consistently produce high-quality welds in a regulated aerospace manufacturing environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform TIG welding on aerospace components, assemblies, and heat transfer products.
- Weld aluminum, stainless steel, Inconel, and other specialty alloys to aerospace quality standards.
- Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, weld symbols, work instructions, and specifications.
- Prepare materials by fitting, aligning, clamping, and tack welding components prior to final welding.
- Inspect completed welds for defects including porosity, undercut, cracks, incomplete fusion, distortion, and other nonconformances.
- Perform minor weld repairs and rework as required.
- Monitor welding parameters, heat input, and material conditions to maintain dimensional integrity and prevent distortion.
- Maintain compliance with AWS D17.1 aerospace welding requirements and company quality procedures.
- Work closely with Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, and Production teams to resolve welding-related issues.
- Complete required production documentation and maintain accurate records.
- Follow all safety, environmental, quality, and ITAR requirements.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities to improve quality, efficiency, and productivity.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 3 years of TIG and/or MIG welding experience in aerospace, aviation, defense, precision manufacturing, or similar industries.
- Demonstrated ability to weld aluminum and stainless steel; Inconel experience strongly preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and technical documentation.
- Strong understanding of welding processes, filler materials, shielding gases, and welding equipment.
- Ability to use measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, scales, and gauges.
- Ability to self-inspect work and identify weld defects.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Preferred Qualifications:
- AWS D17.1 Aerospace Welding Certification.
- Experience welding thin-gauge aerospace components and assemblies.
- Familiarity with AS9100 quality systems.
- Experience working in FAA, aerospace, defense, or military manufacturing environments.
- Trade School or Technical Welding Certification.
