POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for managing Key Customer Accounts/Product Lines, and the Business Development (BD) activities for those accounts, for the purpose of growing the business, retaining current business, and improving Customer Service/Relationship-building.

 

Desired candidate is a self-starter with a customer-friendly approach and a strong work ethic. Must be team oriented, multitask capable, have working knowledge of MS Office products, possess strong verbal/written communication and customer management skills (including negotiation), work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment, maintain a professional demeanor in potentially stressful situations, take a proactive approach to problem identification and a creative approach to resolution.  In addition, the desired candidate must have a ‘hunter mentality’ to proactively identify, target, and win new business opportunities.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage key Aerospace customer accounts for the purpose of growing new business (via Business Development) and offer superior Customer Service for that existing/new business

  • Goals include: Orders intake, Price Increases, New Business Capture Life of Program Value, Customer Satisfaction, Working Capital management, and Digital Marketing metrics.  

  • Work with AMETEK Regional Sales Managers to propose/capture/execute new/existing business opportunities and prospect for New Business via Customer visitations (travel 10-25%).

  • Proposal Generation new/existing Business Opportunities and Contract Review

  • Generate business case financial models for new/existing business for cognizant customer accounts.  The ability to estimate manufacturing costs would be a bonus

  • Proposal/PO and Contract Review for new and existing business relevant to customer base

  • Manage commercial program milestones and scope changes for new/existing business via the generation of Coordination Memos and other such customer communications

  • Act as POC for cognizant key accounts, providing Customer Service for the commercial aspects of new programs, existing programs, and providing delivery updates to customers

  • Improve the Voice of the Customer Feedback by providing superior customer service

  • Digital Marketing web-updates, content creation, social media videos, email blasts, etc

  • Understand the A&D market, trends, new product needs for Thermal Management

  • Utilize Salesforce proposal/lead management software and Oracle MRP

  • Understanding of Government Contracts and AS606 accounting for NRE & recurring revenue recognition

  • Additional tasks as needed

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • None at present

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience

  • BD/Sales Experience or Program Management required

  • Bachelors degree in Business preferred, MBA a plus

  • Engineering/Technical background preferred

  • PMA/SAR Aftermarket background, a plus

  • Digital Marketing experience/background preferred

Employee Type:  Salaried
Salary Minimum:  $110,000
Salary Maximum:  $130,000
