CAMECA is a world leading supplier of microanalytical and metrology instrumentation for research and process control. Our instruments measure elemental and isotopic composition in materials down to atomic resolution and equip government and university labs as well as high-tech industrial companies around the world.
Under the responsibility of the Operations Manager, the Project Lead is responsible for conducting manufacturing and qualification projects for particle sources intended for internal and external clients, as well as for the development of the source control software.
KEY RESPONSABILITIES
Conducting Particle Source Manufacturing Projects
As part of a source project for an internal or external client:
- Draft the validation plan according to the client's needs;
- Build and monitor the project schedules;
- Technical implementation of the project:
- Creation of bill of materials,
- Monitoring of supplies,
- Manufacturing of mechanical and electronic sub-assemblies;
- Produce technical reports to update project schedules and share experiences with other project leaders.
Qualifying Source Projects and Supporting Clients
- Track and record information related to the progress of the source project, FAT (Factory Acceptance Tests) documents, shipping, etc.;
- Demonstrate contractual specifications validating delivery when they concern standard specifications;
- Train clients in the use of the source;
- Occasionally handle after-sales service actions for sources.
Developing and Maintaining Source Control Software
Supporting various source projects at CAMECA Grenoble:
- Develop modules, define and perform unit tests;
- Integrate modules and perform integration tests;
- Participate in functional tests and validation;
- Work effectively in a team using and improving our version management and collaborative work tools.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- echnical education (Physics and/or Engineering Sciences) at the master's or engineering level.
- Previous experience in experimentation and a strong interest in it.
PROFESSIONNAL KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED & ABILITIES
Skills and Competencies:
- Knowledge in project management
- Ability to handle measurement systems
- Knowledge in:
- Physics: ion sources, electromagnetism, modeling
- Electronics: analog, digital, high voltage, RF
- Vacuum technology
- Mechanics
- Basic knowledge of mechanical design software such as Solidworks
- Ability to program control routines in Python and Labview interfaces
- Basic knowledge of collaborative software tools (version control, Git, repositories)
- English: minimum B2 level
