Job Description:
The Field Service Engineer provides service and customer support at customer locations on the full line of AMETEK Level Measurement Solutions (LMS) products. Field Service Engineer perform operational verification, commissioning, startup, configuration, troubleshooting, preventive or corrective repair and training on all AMETEK LMS products.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
- Travel to job sites on land and offshore within the designated region(s) South East Asia, Australia, Korea, Taiwan, occasionally Middle East region).
- Travel to mission critical interventions (both from a technical as well as a commercial/ critical customer aspect).
- Provide customers with world class support at location of installed product. Commission, configure and evaluate the installation of AMETEK LMS product(s).
- Train peers’ processes and field service procedures.
- Effectively communicate with customers to convey results of site visit.
- Work directly and collaboratively with sales, product management, engineering, service, and other internal support to resolve and/ or escalate customer issues and concerns.
- Escalate quality issues to appropriate departments.
- Assist Engineering, Quality, and Product Management teams in performing root cause analyses and continuous product improvement initiatives.
- Perform on-site and in-house technical training to varying audience of sales reps, customers, or internal associates.
- Prepare training content and material for AMETEK LMS products. Acquire, maintain product knowledge and be the subject matter expert on AMETEK LMS products overall (Including but not limited to manuals, calibration, and installation literature).
- Understand, advise, and recommend solutions of AMETEK LMS products based on customer applications.
- Provide immediate attention to customers' and follow-up with appropriate resolutions.
- Liaise with factory for technical, QA/QC, warranty and RMA issues.
- Maintain the in-house demo equipment.
- Provide support to phone-in enquiries from customers, Reps and onsite service and technical support.

EXPERIENCE/REQUIREMENTS
- Associate degree or technical diploma in instrumentation, electronics, related field, or equivalent military training.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- 5-10 years of experience providing technical support and/ or field service in the instrumentation industry (preferred).
- Technical aptitude and electro-mechanical skill set.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, with outside sales reps and with customers.
- Capable of meeting physical requirements of safety training courses including HUET (helicopter underwater escape).
- Salesforce knowledge (preferred).
