Job Title: Financial Analyst - Operations

AMETEK Finland is seeking a highly motivated individual to serve as our Financial Analyst - Operations at our Finland unit that currently locates at Espoo.
You as our Financial Analyst – Operations is a key partner to Operations, Supply Chain, and Corporate/Business Unit Finance. This role supports day to day operational decision making and owns core general ledger activities to ensure accurate financial results. The analyst provides insight into manufacturing/ operations costs and performance, manages monthly close tasks, and drives continuous improvement in financial processes and controls. Your Key Responsibilities
- Operations Finance
- Partner with Operations/Manufacturing to track and explain cost drivers (labor, materials, overhead, scrap, yield, absorption).
- Support product costing and margin analysis, including BOM/routing reviews and cost roll-ups (in collaboration with Cost Accounting/Engineering).
- Prepare weekly/monthly operations performance dashboards and variance analyses; recommend corrective actions.
- Assist with capital project business cases (NPV/IRR/payback), post implementation reviews, and tracking of benefits.
- Process Improvement & Data Integrity
- Streamline close and reporting processes; automate recurring analyses and reconciliations.
- Improve data quality and alignment across ERP (Business Central), document processes and controls.
- Champion continuous improvement and lean finance practices; identify cost reduction opportunities.
- FP&A Reporting
- Contribute to annual budget and monthly forecasts for manufacturing spend, overhead, absorption, and operational KPIs.
- Deliver monthly reporting packages for Operations and Finance leadership with clear, actionable insights.
- Support cash flow impacts from inventory changes and capex timing; highlight risks/opportunities.
- General Ledger & Close
- Execute monthly close activities: journal entries, accruals, reclasses, cost allocations, and reconciliations (inventory, WIP, COGS, reserves).
- Ensure accurate standard costing impacts are reflected in the GL; reconcile subledgers to the GL.
- Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations; resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Own variance explanations vs. budget/forecast and prior periods; prepare close narratives for management.
- Maintain internal controls related to inventory valuation, revenue/cost recognition, and fixed assets; support audit requests.
- Prepare and review VAT reporting and analysis.
We Require
- Bachelor’s in finance, accounting, or related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years experience in finance/ accounting.
- Good technical skills in advanced excel, solid financial modelling, ERP experience, BI/ reporting tools and strong data reconciliation skills, working knowledge of GAAP, standard costing, inventory valuation and revenue/ cost recognition.
- You enjoy working on tasks that require good manual dexterity.
- Ability to work cooperatively in a diverse team environment.
- Fluent language skills in Finnish and English, both written and oral.

We consider as an advantage
- Education MBA/CMA/CPA.
- Experience in manufacturing industry, operations finance or cost accounting.
- Experience or familiarity with inventory/ WIP modules.
- 5-7 years experience in finance/ accounting.
