Job Title: Supply Chain Analyst

Summary of Position
In this fast paced and data driven role the Operations Analyst (OA) will collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Engineering, and site level Production Planners to improve service levels, reduce inventory, and drive savings across operations. This role will develop business intelligence dashboards that provide insights to leadership in real time, enabling impactful decision making. The OA will partner with other functional leaders to address design changes, labor and material shortages, demand changes, backlogs, and other schedule interruptions to assure we deliver our month and annual plans. This role will lead and facilitate the S&OP process, create rough cut capacity plans, and reconcile supply and demand. This person will act as the central point for addressing day-to-day issues and driving process improvements.
Position Requirements
Education/Experience Requirements:
- 4-year college graduate or equivalent
- 5 or more years’ experience in analytics (Manufacturing environment preferred)
- APICS, NAPM or ISM certification is preferred

Duties and Responsibilities
S&OP
- Support and facilitate the global EMC SIOP process to ensure alignment of the unconstrained, constrained, and financial plans
- Develop and deliver succinct, relevant and timely reporting to support the SIOP process
- Engage in capacity management during sales and operations planning and forecasting
Continuous Improvement
- Establish a New Order and Expedite review process; collaborate with Sales, CAS, Production Planning, and Purchasing
- Create supporting metrics and tracking of new order lead time given and expedites granted
- May consider implementing lock windows as part of this initiative
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance production efficiency
- Collaborate with facilities to institute uniform policies and best practices that drive improvement in on time delivery, reduce inventory, and drive lower costs overall
Master Production Planning
- Create a supply plan by reviewing the current customer orders, sales forecasts, intercompany demand, and historical data; communicate any changes to schedule and assess trade-offs with various partners
- Act as the central point for production planning to ensure their schedules align with our demand commitments and available capacity/materials
- Manage load leveling and bottlenecks for more accurate scheduling
- Develop and maintain metrics to show adherence to master production schedule
- Prepare regular reports on production performance, including key performance indicators (KPIs), and present them to senior management
- Contribute to annual forecasting and shape long-term pre-production strategies
