Job Description: 

Summary of Position

Single point of accountability for pricing, proposals, and contract review within product line, responsible for creation and deployment of commercial strategy. Leads the Business Development Managers, Account Managers, and 3rd Party Sales Reps in account strategy development and deployment.   

Responsible for the identification of new products, technologies, and market opportunities to further differentiate the business.

Responsible for customer problem resolution, market and account strategy, product analytics (market share, competitive landscape, gap closure plans), reporting and forecasting, market intelligence, and marketing communication. Establishes monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and profit goals.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Leadership in the definition, implementation, and delivery of the strategic plans for the Medical Device markets. Active contribution to the future global manufacturing footprint.
  • Achieve profitability, sales growth, price management, and inventory control through leading and managing the commercial team.
  • Identify opportunities for new technologies to support customer growth and innovation through market analysis, research, VOC activities, and design engineering.  Create proposals for technology acquisition.  Drive campaigns and new technology launces.
  • Manage the product and customer interface, including pricing levels, product availability, and quality to ensure consistent delivery of high levels of customer service from quote to cash.
  • Manage product strategies throughout the product life cycle, including product launch and life cycle declines.
  • Understand the value proposition of our products and technologies along with an understanding for the market applications
  • Maximize value of existing process technologies collaboratively with manufacturing and sales teams by identifying opportunities and increasing our NPD pipeline.
  • Develop marketing materials and strategies to deploy across existing customer base and new target customers.  Visit and develop relationships with key customers to provide in-depth product knowledge and presentations.

 

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, or Marketing
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in sales or other customer-facing roles, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in the Medical Device industry
  • Combination of technical aptitude and consultative capabilities with a commercial focus, including technical marketing and application engineering
  • Experience in Interconnects Assembly, Laser Processing, and Injection Molding with a willingness to further the technical knowledge of the manufacturing process
  • Good project and time management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent customer relationship skills
  • Proven track record of setting aggressive targets and meeting business goals through team interaction and involvement
  • Understanding cost and profit drivers
  • Proficient computer skills /CRM and PLM experience
  • Demonstrated ability to lead direct and multifunctional matrix teams
  • Able to work independently with little direction or supervision
  • Ability to demonstrate critical values; vision, driving change, communication, integrity, and commitment to team success.
  • Preferred requirements:
    • Product and Project Management experience
    • Strategic relationship-building skills that focus on the customer's critical agenda issues
    • Established relationships in the Medical Device Market
    • Professional acumen that can be built upon for broader leadership roles
    • Technical understanding of cables, interconnects, and laser processing for metals and polymers

Compensation

Employee Type:  Salaried

Salary Minimum:  140,000
Salary Maximum:  185,000
