Job Title: Quality Assurance Engineer II

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Quality Assurance Engineer plans and conducts activities in accordance with the Quality Management System processes and procedures.
• Plan, conduct, and evaluate the analysis of processes to ensure product quality complies with requirements. Duties include product manufacturing reviews, process capability studies, and coordination of Quality projects.
• Support implementation of Quality philosophy and continual improvement.
• Support activities of the Inspection Department, assist in resolution of Inspection issues, and keep management abreast of significant issues.
• Develop, documents, and implements quality standards for product and processes to assure conformance with customer, regulatory and industrial standards.
• Work with other departments (Operations, Production Control, Purchasing, Sales and Engineering) as needed to determine and resolve product and process issues.
• Qualified as a Lead Auditor and supports the training of associate auditors.
• Investigate product and process non-conformities and recommend disposition of non-conforming product and initiate corrective actions.
• Conduct and/or facilitate corrective action initiatives with containment actions, root cause investigations, problem solving techniques and verification activities.
• Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS FOR CONSIDERATION
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience as a Quality Engineer in a similar manufacturing environment.
• Ability to perform calculations, in all units of measure. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Ability to write and implement instructions, Engineering reports, and short memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other associates of the organization.
• Ability to write and read technical reports preferred.
• Previous experience with ISO and other certification bodies preferred.
• Knowledge of internal and third-party auditing preferred.
• Middle-East Oil and Gas work experience will be an advantage for this position.
• Should be familiar in handling welding procedures.
