Job Title: HR Generalist (18-Month Maternity Cover)

The Human Resources Generalist will act as a driver, coach and partner to leaders and employees in AMETEK LAND, to ensure that we create and maintain a great place to work by delivering on our strategy. You will be a proactive communicator and someone who can successfully balance employee needs with business objectives, while simultaneously executing operational HR responsibilities with excellence.
This is a hands-on role, requiring you to “roll up your sleeves” and engage and execute on needs both large and small - tactical and strategic. This is an excellent role for someone looking to continue to develop their HR competencies in a role that will grow with you. With the support of the Human Resources Director, you will collaborate across functions, interact with and influence multiple levels of the organization, provide coaching and counseling and plan and drive project management. You will balance competing priorities and conflicting opinions. and facilitate the best decisions for both the business and the employees in an environment of rapid change.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Partner with the business to support all processes with the employee lifecycle whilst ensuring appropriate application of HR policies and procedures including fulfilling general HR Administration activities (including recruitment, employee relations, compensation, performance, talent development, employee engagement, diversity, and training)
- Provide accurate and timely management information, ensuring compliance with Company process, data protection requirements and best practice with regard to maintenance of HR systems and records
- Support Strategic HR initiatives and HR Analytics for the business unit in conjunction with the HR Director
- Support full cycle recruiting, talent acquisition, and onboarding for Business Unit including sourcing applicants, complete assessments, interview, and hire, assuring full regulatory compliance
- Heavily involved in outreach, screening & selection and representing the Business Unit
- Continually identify opportunities to improve the employee experience and help execute initiatives that support and advance the mission, values, and strategic vision of the business
- Passionately pursue opportunities to improve the Business Unit Human Resources process, programs, procedures, and direction, through root-cause analysis and systems orientation, takes initiative to find better tools, process, calculate value, reports results and recommendations, and helps execute initiatives that advance the Business Unit Human Resources Partnership from tactical to strategic
- Analyzing employment trends in the location(s)/business units reporting results and developing/monitoring action plans
- Design, develop and lead ongoing employee engagement strategies and activities; assess current standing, research market trends and best practices, drive new ideas into the business, support the year-round engagement strategy, and provide execution support on assigned projects
- Primary point of contact for general employee issues, collaboration, coaching, concerns, or information
- Mentor and provide guidance to employees related to career development
- Assist with the implementation of BU level leadership development programs
- Maintain HR dashboard/tracker on a weekly/monthly basis
- Additional responsibilities as required, and commensurate with the role
Key Competencies:
- Ability to work autonomously and appropriately escalate first level employee relations cases, as required
- Self-driven, results-oriented, and resourceful HR practitioner who is capable of quickly taking control of responsibilities and establishing themselves as a credible partner to the business
- Strong organizational, planning, resource management. decision-making and problem-solving skills with the ability to access and take action without prompting
- Excellent communication skills
Experience, Professional Qualifications and Personal Requirements:
- CIPD qualified or currently studying towards CIPD, or equivalent qualification
- Experience operating as a true HR Generalist
- Ability to take responsibility for operational HR including any HR related administration
- Deep understanding of HR Employment law and regulations
- Proven experience with full cycle talent acquisitions with a multi-level of role
- Previous experience with HR Data Analytics and metrics. Strong analytical skills and the ability to think programmatically with a solutions orientation
- Previous experience with HR software programs such as SuccessFactors, and ADP, and intermediate to Advanced skills with MS Excel and Office 365
- Demonstrate an understanding of compliance with regards to Company process, data protection requirements and best practice with regard to maintenance of HR systems and records.
